Jodie Foster Celebrates Career Milestone & Wedding Anniversary With Wife By Her Side

Celebrating ten years of marriage is quite an exciting achievement. Actor Jodie Foster, however, had many reasons to celebrate on April 19. For starters, this day marked a decade since she and her wife, Alexandra Hedison, tied the knot. As timing would have it, this is also the day when Foster reached quite a milestone in her career. If you’ve ever been to Los Angeles, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the TCL Chinese Theatre.

This famous Hollywood spot is known for honoring celebrities in a special way. Outside of the building, you’ll find the handprints, footprints, and signatures of famous folks through the decades, preserved in the cement. When a celebrity adds their own mark, there’s a huge celebratory event. For Foster, that event took place the same day as her wedding anniversary. Although she asked her wife if she wanted the date to be moved, Hedison insisted it was okay.

“I asked her, and she was just like, ‘Oh yeah, that’s okay. We’ll figure it out. That’s okay. We’ll go to dinner,” Foster shares . “We had a good day yesterday, so we kind of made it happen yesterday and then we got a whole weekend of fun things to do.”

Friends and family alike showed up to celebrate Foster and Hedison’s big day. And based on all of the photos that have come out, it seems that everyone there had an absolute blast! Foster was clearly feeling the love that day, taking the time to thank her sweet wife for being “so generous” and “giving up” their anniversary for this event.

“I love you so much,” Foster says to Hedison in her speech , “and I’m so grateful for the life we have together.”
