Rosie O’Donnell reveals 75-lb weight loss in denim blazer for public appearance at Los Angeles festival

Rosie previously dropped 64 pounds after undergoing a life-altering surgery

ROSIE O'Donnell has flaunted her incredible weight loss transformation in a denim blazer.

The comedian has lost around 75 pounds in her health journey which began in 2012.

Rosie, 62, showed off her amazing results while attending the Inaugural SignLight International Film Festival in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The actress hit the red carpet for the opening night screening of Being Michelle at SilverScreen Theater in West Hollywood.

The View alum flaunted her thinnest figure yet in a denim blazer over a black top and matching black trousers.

Rosie wore her gray hair styled in a short cropped cut and accessorized her look with black-rimmed prescription glasses.

The movie star smiled at cameras while attending the star-studded gathering.

HEALTH CRISIS

In 2012, the TV personality suffered a heart attack that changed her relationship with her health.

After recovering, Rosie underwent vertical gastric sleeve surgery which led her to lose 64 pounds.

She opened up about the experience two years later, revealing that she was down to 176 pounds from 240 from the procedure.

“Believe it or not, that surgery changed my life,” she shared with People in November 2015.

“It doesn’t reroute your intestines. You have no issue with going to the bathroom in public. But your relationship with food ends.”

The Sleepless in Seattle star continued, “I had a heart attack at 50. When I woke up, they said, ‘You should have died.’

"Doctors said, ‘We need you to lose 50 pounds in the next year, but you can’t have surgery or anything in the next year because you've had a heart attack.’”

After trying several different diets, Rosie was finally able to undergo the gastric sleeve surgery.

"I went to the Internet, and I looked up where Bill Clinton did that weird diet, and I went on that diet," she told Dr. Oz in a February 2015 interview.

"Basically, impossible, in my opinion, but I did that diet for a couple of months.

"I went vegan for a couple of months. I just couldn't do it," she confessed.

MAKING PROGRESS

In January 2023, Rosie shared that she had made even more progress in her weight loss journey.

The actress posted the announcement on her TikTok page where she revealed that she lost 10 pounds in just a few short weeks since Christmas.

The View alum credited her success to the diabetes weight loss medication Tirzepatide and cutting back on her soda intake.

Rosie claimed her appetite had significantly decreased, saying on social media, "I'd say it feels like freedom.

"Freedom from intrusive thoughts about food, about what you're eating, I think it's fantastic."

BIG FAMILY

The author has five children: Parker, 28; Chelsea, 26; Blake, 24; Vivienne, 21; and Dakota, 11.

The author was married to Kelli Carpenter from February 2004 until August 2004, but the pair had dated for six years before tying the knot.

The R Family Vacations founder officially adopted Rosie's previously adopted son Parker and also shares Chelsea, Blake, and Vivienne with the actress.

In 2012, Rosie said "I do" to recruiter Michelle Rounds, and together the couple adopted their daughter Dakota.

But by 2015 the couple called it quits, and Michelle sadly died of apparent suicide in 2017.
