Former USC football player Joshua Jackson Jr. has been arrested and charged with rape

Former USC football player Joshua Jackson Jr. has been arrested and charged with raping two women, according to a press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office

“Sexual assault is a heinous crime that cannot be tolerated,” District Attorney Gascón said in the release. “These brave women made the difficult decision to come forward and report their assault, now it’s our turn to ensure that justice is done. We will do everything we can to hold the person responsible accountable for his actions.”

Jackson has been formally charged with one felony count of forcible sexual penetration and three felony counts of forcible rape.

In March of 2023, Jackson Jr. allegedly raped a classmate at her USC apartment, according to the release. Jackson Jr. also is accused of raping a UCLA student sometime between June 1 and Sept. 1, 2020 at his apartment.

Detectives are seeking other women who may have been sexually assaulted by Jackson, according to the LA Times.

Jackson Jr. signed with USC out of Narbonne High School (Harbor City, Calif.) in 2020. He played three seasons for the Trojans, but did not see the field last year and entered the transfer portal in April.
