USC football announces 2 future opponents

USC announced two future football opponents on Monday and one of the games may lead to a reunion with a former coach.

The Trojans will host Georgia Southern on Sept. 6, 2025 and Nevada on Sept. 11, 2027. 

Former USC head coach Clay Helton is currently the head coach at Georgia Southern. If he's still with the Eagles in 2025, he'll make his return to the Coliseum. 

USC is set to play Nevada this upcoming season on Sept. 2 at 3:30 p.m. PT. The Trojans are 5-0 all-time against the Wolfpack. USC has never played Georgia Southern in football.

2023 USC FOOTBALL SCHEDULING UPDATES

Four of the times and TV channels for USC football games in the fall have been finalized.

The Trojans will kick off their season on Aug. 26 in the Coliseum against San Jose State. The game will air at 5 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.

The following week, USC will host Nevada at the Coliseum on Sept. 2 of Labor Day weekend with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.

USC then begins Pac-12 play against Stanford on Sept. 9 with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. PT on FOX.

The times and TV channels for the first three games were released on Wednesday. Earlier this month, the time and TV channel for USC's away game against Notre Dame on Oct. 14 was also released. The game will kick off at 4:30 p.m. PT on NBC/Peacock.
