As a long-time Los Angeles Lakers fan, Snoop Dogg has earned the respect and appreciation of some of his fellow Lakers followers. The legendary rapper has been very active this season, as he hoped to see his team win the championship.

Unfortunately for them, the Lakers couldn't even get a win against the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals. While he sees the rest of the 2023 NBA playoffs, Snoop keeps talking about his Lakers and recently named his top-5 Lakers of all time.

Snoop went with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, and Shaquille O'Neal for the first four. When it came to that final spot, the superstar explained that 'none of the new guys' deserved to be selected (55:00 mark).

"They ain't done enough," Snoop said. "It's going to be either Michael Cooper, James Worthy... I could say Jerry West. I could say Wilt Chamberlain," Snoop said on The Pivot podcasts.

Kobe Bryant played 20 seasons with the Lakers, winning five of seven possible championships with the team. Magic Johnson won five championships in nine Finals appearances, while Kareem Abdul-Jabbar went to the big series eight times with the Lakers, winning five championships. Shaquille O'Neal played in four NBA Finals with the Purple and Gold, winning three of his four championships with the team.

When the hosts reminded him that he had only one spot left to fill, he went with the Big Dipper, adding Chamberlain to his list. Chamberlain wasn't at his prime when he landed in Los Angeles, but he still managed to produce good numbers and help his team. He won his second and final career championship with the Lakers, leaving a mark on the team.

Snoop also refused to include LeBron James, who won a championship with the team in 2020. He's created a good duo with Anthony Davis that was expected to lead the Lakers to the promised land, but they haven't been as competitive as they were in the 2020 Orlando bubble.

The rapper took offense with the team's performances during this season and even trolled them when they were going through a bad situation. He still supported them and even trolled Dillon Brooks for trying to mess with LeBron James .

If somebody is honest with his team, that's Snoop Dogg, as he didn't hesitate to call them out either when they didn't perform as expected.

Who Are The Five Greatest Los Angeles Lakers Of All Time?

The Los Angeles Lakers have had incredible players on the roster over the years. They had an incredible list of players who wore the Purple and Gold and made history by winning championships and individual accolades.

Back in December, Fadeaway World's Kyle Daubs wrote a piece ranking the 10 greatest players in the Los Angeles Lakers history , pretty much agreeing with Snoop Dogg's list, but only changing Jerry West for Wilt Chamberlain.

LeBron does make the cut in the top 10, but he's sitting at 10th, far away from Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson, the two best Lakers of all time.
