Sun Valley, Los Angeles, CA: A two-vehicle traffic collision left one driver in need of rescue from a vehicle into a pole at the scene of the incident late Wednesday afternoon.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to reports of a traffic collision with entrapment just after 4:00 p.m., Mar. 29, on the 12800 block of West Strathern Street in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles within the San Fernando Valley.

The fire department arrived and found one female patient inside a car that needed help exiting the vehicle.

The other driver of the vehicle involved is believed to have fled the scene.

One patient was transported by ambulance in unknown condition to a nearby hospital.

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the cause of the traffic collision.
