Going off for 36 points, 10 assists, and 4 rebounds in a win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night, LA Clippers point guard Russell Westbrook made a bit of history in this one. With two blocks to go along with his 36 points, 10 assists, and 4 rebounds, Westbrook became the first player in Clippers history with at least 35 points, 10 assists, and two blocks in a game.

The Clippers were without both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in this game, so they needed every bit of this performance from Westbrook. He was dominant from the beginning, making all five of his three-point attempts, and hunting Ja Morant defensively. There was nothing Memphis could do to stop Westbrook in this one, as he imposed his will from start to finish.

The Clippers did not expect to lose Kawhi Leonard shortly before tip off, but the star forward was a late scratch due to personal reasons. Westbrook put the Clippers on his back in the absence of Leonard and George, lifting them to a much needed victory in Memphis.

The Clippers will play one more game against the Grizzlies on Friday, which will also have a high level of importance. Every game is vital for the Clippers in between now and the end of the regular season, which is why this performance from Westbrook was so huge.
