Missed opportunities haunted the Oregon softball team on Saturday, as they left 11 runners stranded in a 7-4 loss to UCLA.
But thanks to a win Friday, they still had a chance to take the series over the number 3 team in the nation.
1. Former Duck Brooke Yanez pitching for UCLA.
Vallerie Wong took the advantage of the familiarity by sneaking a hit past the second baseman and driving in KK Humphreys.
2. So UCLA lead 2-1 in the bottom third, and Allee Bunker quickly tied it up with a bomb off that net in left field. Yanez was pulled after that.
3. The pitching change paid off, as the Ducks failed to score the rest of the way. while the Bruins erupted in the 7th. Maya brady hit a two-run blast to take the lead.
UCLA tacked on two more runs after that, as the series slips away from Oregon two games to one.
