UPDATE: D'Angelo Russell's Injury Status For Bulls-Lakers Game

D'Angelo Russell is on the injury report for Sunday's game.

UPDATE: D'Angelo Russell has been ruled out

On Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Chicago Bulls in California.

For the game, they could be without one of their best players, as D'Angelo Russell is on the injury report.

The former Ohio State star also missed Friday's 116-111 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a hip injury.

Underdog NBA: "D'Angelo Russell (hip) questionable for Sunday."

Russell is in the middle of an excellent season with averages of 18.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 65 games.

The 2019 NBA All-Star is also shooting a tremendous 46.6% from the field and 39.1% from the three-point range.

Right now, the Lakers are playing well and are 7-3 in their last ten games (and on a three-game winning streak).

They come into the day as the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 37-37 record in 74 games.

At home, the Lakers have been good, going 21-17 in the 38 games they have hosted in Los Angeles, California.

They are just 1.5 games back of the Golden State Warriors for the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot).

As for the Bulls, they are the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-38 record in 73 games.

They are 6-4 in their last ten games and in the final play-in tournament spot.

However, the Bulls have struggled in a big way on the road, going just 15-21 in the 36 games they have played away from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
