Between her time at UNC Greensboro and now Oregon, pitcher Morgan Scott has started in over 80 games at the college level.
But Saturday’s win over #3 UCLA stands above the rest.
"Honestly, I think that's my top, number 1 moment in my college career," said Scott.
The off-season transfer pitched the full seven innings, struck out four batters and gave up just two hits.
“Beating #3 UCLA and only allowing two hits,” said Scott. “It’s an amazing feeling.”
While Scott was lights-out from the circle, Terra McGowan went off at the plate. She homered in the first inning, then drove in another run with a double in the fifth. Those plays provided just enough run support for the Ducks to complete the major upset.
Now the team will look to capture the series after previous 2-1 defeats to No. 10 Washington and No. 7 Stanford.
The Ducks face the Bruins at 2:00 pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
