K-9 Police Dog Attacks Suspect at Pursuit Termination

Van Nuys, Los Angeles, CA: The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department was in pursuit of a possible stolen vehicle which led deputies into the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles where California Highway Patrol took over late Thursday night, Mar. 23.

When the suspect gave up at Woodman and the 101 Freeway in the Van Nuys neighborhood, Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies released the K-9 police dog for a noncompliant suspect.

The dog tugged at the suspect’s clothing, then authorities walked toward the suspect and placed the suspect into custody.
