Here's What Anthony Davis Said After The Lakers Lost To The Mavs

Anthony Davis met with the media after the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Dallas Mavericks.

On Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers lost 111-110 to the Dallas Mavericks on their home floor in California.

The Mavs led by as many as 14, but the Lakers rallied back and had a lead late in the game.

However, Maxi Kleber nailed a buzzer-beater to win.

Eight-time NBA All-Star Anthony Davis finished the game with an impressive 26 points, ten rebounds, three assists and one block in 37 minutes of playing time.

If the Lakers had beaten the Mavs, they could have moved up in the standings.

With the loss, they are now 34-37 in 71 games, which has them tied with the Utah Jazz for the tenth seed (the final play-in tournament spot) in the Western Conference.

After the game, Davis met with the media

Davis: "Our focus is now Sunday. Try and get a win against Orlando. This one was tough, just the way it ended, and also, I think other teams lost. I think in this game, with a win woulda put us at 7. It's tough all across the board."

On Sunday night, the Lakers will host the Magic, who are playing the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday afternoon in California.

Davis is averaging an outstanding 26.1 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest in 45 games (while shooting 56.2% from the field).

The Lakers are in the middle of a two-game losing streak but are a solid 18-17 in the 35 games they have hosted on their home floor in Los Angeles.
