Head-On Traffic Collision Traps 2: 1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized After Extrication

Chesterfield Square, Los Angeles, CA: Two parties were trapped after a violent head-on traffic collision which left one person dead at the scene and one patient injured early Saturday morning, Mar. 18.

The head-on crash occurred just after 1:00 a.m. on the 1900 block of West Florence Avenue in the Chesterfield Square neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police officers responded to the call of the traffic collision and upon arrival, reported a two-vehicle, head-on crash with two parties trapped.

LAFD reported one patient dead at the scene and the other patient was extricated from the vehicle by firefighters and transported to a local hospital with major injuries.

The cause of crash is unknown at this time. LAPD is investigating.
