    West Virginia high school evacuated due to suspicious note

    MINGO COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – UPDATE 9/19/24 12:17 PM: Mingo Central High School was dismissed this morning following the discovery of a suspicious note on school property.

    Local authorities, including State Police and Sheriff’s Deputies, conducted a thorough security sweep with the help of a trained K-9 unit.

    The all-clear was given at 10:52 AM, and the threat was deemed non-credible.

    The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify the person or persons responsible for the note.

    Classes are expected to resume as normal tomorrow.

    ORIGINAL STORY: Mingo Central High School was evacuated this morning after a suspicious note was discovered on school property, according to a statement from the Mingo County School District.

    State and county law enforcement are currently investigating the situation.

    As a precaution, all students are being dismissed.

    Buses have been dispatched to the school, and students who drove to school but do not have access to their keys will also be transported by bus.

    Authorities anticipate that it may take several hours to complete a thorough sweep of the building.

    The district will provide further updates as more information becomes available.

    Sad to say id not have my kid anywhere near a school 😭 it's election year I'm sure there will be tons of horrid shyt to come. May every child be in thought as we roll forward ❤️
