Man struck by car in violent attack, suspect arrested

CABELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A tragedy unfolded in a West Virginia town when a man intentionally drove through a man’s property, striking the victim and causing property damage.

On September 11th, 2024, a Milton, West Virginia , man was the victim of a brutal vehicular assault. According to police reports, Chad Chandler intentionally drove his 2008 Subaru Outback (West Virginia registration 806441A) directly toward the victim in the side yard of the victim’s residence on Dale Road. The defendant struck the victim, causing him to sustain cuts, bruises, and swelling to his head. The victim required medical attention from Cabell County Emergency Medical Services.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:53 PM in Milton , Cabell County. In addition to the attack on the victim, the defendant also intentionally drove through the fence and struck the side of the residence, causing an estimated $1,500 in property damage.

Authorities have arrested the defendant and charged him with malicious assault. He is currently held on a $50,000 bond pending a court appearance. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
