Davon Linder, of Beckley, sentenced to prison

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Davon Jamir Linder, 24, of Beckley , was sentenced to five years and eight months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for distribution of methamphetamine .

According to court documents and statements made in court, on February 27, 2023, Linder sold a controlled substance containing methamphetamine to a confidential informant in Beckley. Davon Linder admitted to the transaction. Linder was also found in possession of 800 grams of methamphetamine when a search warrant was executed at his house. He was on parole supervision at the time the offenses occurred.

United States Attorney Will Thompson made the announcement and commended the investigative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Beckley/Raleigh County Drug and Violent Crime Unit, which consists of officers from the West Virginia State Police, the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department, and the Beckley Police Department.

Chief United States District Judge Frank W. Volk imposed the sentence. Assistant United States Attorney Andrew D. Isabell prosecuted the case.
