Raleigh County Commission to consider $128,000 grant to airport authority for cost overruns

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The next Regular Session meeting of the Raleigh County Commission is scheduled for next week and will see consideration of a $128,000 grant to the Raleigh County Airport Authority for cost overruns.

The meeting will take place at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, and will also see consideration of a date and time for Halloween celebrations for Raleigh County. A 6:00pm to 8:00pm period on the evening of Halloween, Thursday, October 31, 2024, will be presented for consideration.

Elsewhere, the session will also revisit the issue of a potential Grievance Coordinator for Raleigh County along with adoption of Grievance Procedures/Citizens Complaints for the county. This issue was broached as part of the commission agenda earlier this month but was tabled during last Tuesday’s session.
