Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office dismisses false active shooter reports

RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office has addressed inaccurate reports circulating on social media about an active shooter and a child being shot at a local middle school.

Authorities confirm these reports are entirely baseless and unfounded.

Earlier in the day, Raleigh County deputies responded to assist the Beckley Police Department regarding a report of an active shooter at a local bank.

This report was also determined to be false.
