    Backpack containing handgun found at Kanawha County middle school

    SISSONVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A backpack containing an empty handgun was found on the campus of a West Virginia middle school over the weekend.

    According to a message sent to students obtained by LOOTPRESS, Sissonville Middle School Principal Clifford Nicholas announced Sunday that a backpack containing an unloaded handgun and several Ripley cheerleading items was left behind after a game at the school on Saturday.

    Law enforcement has been notified, taken possession of the backpack and handgun, and is investigating to determine the owner.

    No injuries or threats were reported in connection with the incident.

    I remember back in my day, kids would talk about bringing guns to school and go hunting after the school day was over with. As a matter of fact they would talk about at lunch time
