Police respond to reports of gunfire and discover deceased male

BARBOURSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Barboursville Police Department reported a shooting incident on Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 4:15 PM, officers responded to a report of gunfire near the alley behind the 700 block of Central Avenue in Barboursville.

Upon arrival, they found a deceased male at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, but authorities have stated that there is no threat to the public and no additional suspects are being sought.
