National Weather Service confirms tornado near Mount Horeb
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado near Mount Horeb from the May 21 severe weather outbreak. The tornado touched down east of Mount Horeb in the township of Springdale. It traveled northeast, crossing Highway 18 and passing east of Klevenville before dissipating. The tornado was on the ground for nearly 5 miles and was given an EF1 rating on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. The tornado had estimated wind speeds of 100 miles per hour. While damage was mostly limited to trees, two sheds were destroyed by the tornado.

The area was initially explored by French adventurers Jacques Marquette and Louis Joliet on June 17, 1673. The boy was last seen at his Sauk County home the day before investigators believe he drove the family’s vehicle to Baraboo and left it abandoned by the Bluffs. One year later, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office and Yoblonski’s father, Bill, said they have no substantial leads.

Westby man and Gays Mills woman arrested on drug related charges following traffic stop
CRAWFORD COUNTY, Wis. – Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that on Friday, May 24, law enforcement personnel conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 131 in the Township of Freeman. The Sheriff’s report states that during the stop, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and the following was discovered, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
