"The Sriracha Muchacha is me, turned up to eleven!"

Paloma Vargas is a Lucha Libre wrestler who goes by the stage name "The Sriracha Muchacha"! Wrestling professionally for more than 15 years now, Vargas tried to become a ring girl as a young adult but instead was offered a chance to get into the ring herself.

As a young girl, Vargas reminisced how her mother and grandmother would load the car with family and take everyone to see local Lucha Libre matches. This instilled her love for the sport, and she would often fantasize about becoming a pro wrestler.

Today, she wows audiences from local street festivals all the way to the stages of the Goodman Theater with her trusty bottle of sriracha sauce! For Vargas, Lucha Libre wrestling not only allows her to feel like her full self, but also lets her be a positive influence to other women looking for belonging within the world of professional wrestling.

Grandma Was Right About Potatoes and Onions

Sometimes the most memorable food begins with ingredients so ordinary that their transformation feels almost unfair. Southern Fried Taters and Onions take potatoes, sliced onion, garlic, oil, salt, and pepper and turn them into a skillet full of golden edges, tender centers, and deep savory flavor. As the potatoes cook, some pieces crisp against the hot pan while others remain soft enough to soak up the sweetness released by the onions. That mix of textures is what makes a simple recipe so hard to leave alone. Every serving contains a few crunchy bites, several buttery-soft slices, and caramelized onion tucked between them. No cream sauce, specialty cheese, or expensive meat is required to make the skillet smell like a proper country breakfast or old-fashioned family supper.

These Little Smokies Found the Sauce Everyone Wants

Lil Smokies are already dependable party food, but coating them in Southern-style honey mustard gives the familiar appetizer a sweet, tangy personality that stands out from the usual barbecue sauce. The sausages bring smoky, savory flavor, while the sauce moves between golden sweetness and mustard bite without leaning too far in either direction. As everything cooks together, the glaze clings to each little sausage and becomes glossy enough to make the serving bowl look irresistible. Every bite is warm, sticky, and easy to pick up with a toothpick, which is exactly what crowded gatherings require. They are substantial enough to satisfy hungry guests but small enough to encourage repeated trips back to the slow cooker. The combination feels familiar immediately, yet the honey-mustard twist gives people something new to notice after the first bite.
