Was in the local market nearby. Needed to use the restroom but they only had porta potties so we decided to go to this cafe. This was a great idea. The vibe here is so friendly and lively. The restroom is clean. My friend and sister absolutely LOVED their iced macchiatos. The espresso is rich and the salted caramel drizzle was perfect. Worth the $9

We visited for brunch with our 19-month-old and, since we didn’t have a reservation, were quoted a 30-minute wait for indoor seating. Given the cold weather and having a toddler with us, we decided to wait and spent some time walking nearby. When we were seated, our table was right next to the entrance door. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but with the constant cold air coming in and out—and a young child with us—we requested if we could move to one of the empty tables further inside. We were told those tables were being held for guests with reservations, and our request was declined. While I understand honoring reservations, it was disappointing given that several tables remained empty during that time and we were already seated. As for the food, it was average. I ordered the pear salad, expecting the pear to be warm, but it was served chilled, which didn’t work well for me. The vegan coffee cake, which I had high hopes for based on reviews, was quite dry. The ambiance is pleasant, drinks are nice, but overall the service and food did not meet expectations. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place based on our experience. Also, not many Jain options.
I’ve visited this restaurant a dozen times perhaps and always have a great time. In the past though, I didn’t love the seasoning and flavors as much even though the food was well prepared. This time, the food tasted great. I was craving a scone for some reason for days and I devoured the scones, the coffee, the biscuits and gravy, all vegetarian options! The only reason I gave a 4-star and not a 5 is because we had a reservation and we still got a wait and then were given a table really close to the door. We were feeling cold so we requested to move but the staff said they couldn’t change that. It seemed a little bad because we made a reservation, could see some open tables inside when we requested the change and hadn’t even gotten our food or drinks until then so it wouldn’t have been a big shift. All in all though, the food was great and I went with friends so we had a great time!
You HAVE to get the shortrib hash. 9.5 /10. Delicious. Crispy potatoes, juicy and flavorful meat, great aioli...all around, a real treat! The wife said this Avocado Toast was the best she's had. Great bread, fresh avocado... perfect. I also had the Gingerbread latte. I consider myself something of an afficionado, since I make 20 dozen Gingerbread cookies every year. This was perfect. Not too heavy, lots of flavor and the perfect foam on top.
My friends and I came here for brunch on a sunny day. I made a reservation in advance and we were seated at a spacious table without any issues. The vibe here is local and cozy while a little bit noisy is durable, however, the food is not my type. I ordered the mushroom toast with ham and eggs. The portion was generous and the presentation was appealing, but the dish felt quite heavy for brunch. The mushrooms were quite a lot, which is good, but the bread is totally soaked into the oil, so the plate was a bit too oily for my taste. My friends ordered other dishes like the beef short rib hash and French toast. While they were all beautifully plated and satisfying in portion, most of them leaned heavily on rich and oily flavors. The beef short rib hash is quite oily. The French toast came with fresh berries and looked great, but was very sweet and dense, because they use croissant. The server was kind and welcoming. I appreciated that she checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well, though I would’ve preferred a bit more space without frequent interruptions during our conversation. Overall, the food is photogenic and filling, and the service is attentive. But the dishes here are definitely on the heavier side — if you’re looking for something lighter or more balanced, this might not be the best fit.
