Visited from British Columbia and tried Mean Sandwich for the first time and wow, it completely lived up to the hype. Everything was next-level awesome. We had the Jersey Sub and the WTK?, and both were insanely tasty..the bread they use too.. damn good. You can tell there’s real thought put into the flavours, honestly made me want to try the entire menu…and those fried potatoes? Crispy perfection. The staff had such great energy, super friendly and welcoming, and even hooked us up with some stickers!!! Definitely one of those spots you’ll be thinking about long after you leave. Can’t wait to come back.

Hands down my favorite sandwich place in town. What really makes this little sandwich shop stands out is that you can tell everybody who works here are really proud of the products. I love it when different workers sharing their personal favorite menu items with passions. The vibes are so infectiously sweet and wonderful. We came in today with our mom who’s a walker user. It was very busy in the shop and all the indoor seating were taken, but the owner talked to one of the family, and offered their seating to us. Everybody involved was so kind and compassionate to help us out. I cannot recommend enough of their oyster po’boy, definitely my favorite on their menu. They somehow manage to deep fried the oyster but still keeps most of the volume of the meat, the oysters are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Great staff (friendly and energetic). The sandwiches were tasty with unique combinations and nuance. We had The Mean and The Fish. Traded out the Skins & Ins on one for the Mean Wedgie Salad and it was awesome.

My husband and I were leaving the National Nordic Museum and wanted to grab some food to take home so we decided to order online at Mean Sandwich. My order was ready at the time that was specified (also received a text when it was done) and according to what I read, they keep your food on a warmer while they wait for you to pick it up. How nice! $20 for a sandwich seems pricey, but let me tell you, they definitely make a MEAN sandwich! The Mean - THICK pieces of juicy corned beef with housemade mustard, pickled red cabbage and mint. The cross section of the sandwich looks insane! The combination of flavors is excellent. The Hama Hama Oyster Po'Boy - Deep-fried Hama Hama yysters with housemade remoulade and lemon-pepper mayo. I loved this. The oysteres were nicely fried with not too much batter. You could really taste the oyster and appreciate the texture. The French roll was also very nice. It was similar to a Vietnamese Banh Mi roll. Soft, but with a light crispness on the outside. Fully Loaded Skins & Ins - Skins & Ins are basically a mixture of fried potato skins and potato chunks so you get a variety of texture: thin and crispy, or soft and meaty. The fully loaded option adds toppings similar to that of a loaded baked potato (white sauce, spices, scallions, and super crunchy bacon bits). This was a nice change from having the usual chips or fries with a sandwich. Parking can be somewhat of a challenge in this area, but if you're able to make it over then I think it's worth visiting.

The specialty Meatloaf sandwich may have been the best sandwich we’ve ever had. Absolute perfection. The S& P skins were also out of this world. I recommend the white sauce for dipping. Really cute outdoor area to hang out and play games. The owner was there taking orders and making sure everyone taken care of 100/10 will be going back to try the burgers !
