Main Street Kent is a huge factor in making Kent special. They are welcoming to new ideas when they are met with action, provide so many opportunities to volunteer, cultivate so many fun and creative opportunities for festivals and make downtown beautiful through public art. They have made Kent such a supportive community for small businesses to start, grow and thrive. I can't say enough about how important MSK is to me, my business and my hometown.
10 years ago I chose to volunteer for Main Streets Adopt-a-spot program and remained a loyal volunteer ever since. The leaders of MSK are fun, passionate, and dedicated. They make volunteering enjoyable and create opportunities to learn and grow as well. I've met some wonderful people and created special lasting friendships I truly treasure! As a member of the Kent community I get to see the tulips I planted come up in the spring or the flower beds in full bloom throughout the summer. Love that I can call someone when I see graffiti that needs cleaned up and miraculously its disappeared the next time I walk by. Their passion to keep Kent a vital place to for businesses and keep people coming downtown is why this organization is successful!
