I just wanted to share my appreciation for my HVAC teacher! Their expertise and passion for the subject make every class engaging and informative. They have a unique ability to break down complex concepts into easily understandable lessons, and their hands on approach really prepares us for real world applications. I've gained so much confidence and knowledge in HVAC thanks to their encouragement and support. Highly recommend this class to anyone interested in the field.

Shane is a pretty good HVAC teacher and actually knows what he’s talking about from real experience. He explains things in a way that makes sense, especially when we’re doing hands-on work. Sometimes he goes a little fast or expects you to already get it, but if you ask for help he’ll usually explain it again. Overall, he’s a solid teacher and helps you get ready for working in HVAC.

I attended Fortis from 2013–2015 and successfully completed my LPN program. While I was able to obtain my license and begin my nursing career, I wish I had done more research before enrolling. I am now in the process of returning to school to earn my RN, and I have learned that many of my credits will not transfer to my new program. As a result, I am being required to retake most of my core classes, which means additional time, money, and student loan debt. My advice to anyone considering Fortis—or any school—is to thoroughly research accreditation, transferability of credits, and how your education will fit into your long-term career goals. Just because a school is accredited does not mean that other colleges and universities will accept your credits. Many institutions make transfer decisions independently, and students can be left repeating coursework they have already completed. If you think you may want to advance your degree in the future, ask specific questions about transfer agreements and whether credits are commonly accepted by the schools you may eventually attend. I wish I had known to do that before enrolling. I am grateful for the education that helped me become an LPN, but I am frustrated that continuing my nursing education has become much more difficult and expensive because so few of my previous credits are being accepted.

I am taking HVAC classes. Shane is a excellent instructor. He has a great way of explaining things to make it easier to learn. I would highly recommend Fortis for anyone looking to learn HVAC.

I started the HVAC program a little less than a month ago and I truly think it’s worth it. Shane makes the class worth coming to and he will always help you if you ask. 97% of the schooling is all hands on and the instructors will have you prepared to be out in the field. My knowledge on HVAC in a month is way wider than I could’ve ever imagined. Anyone saying it’s not worth the money simply isn’t putting the work in. If you show up and put in the work you will be fine. They provide everything you will need in the class. I highly recommend Fortis.
