Atmosphere can be described as extremely intense in every way. Intense exercise, intense rowing, intense gain, intense feeling of achievement, intense winning at every event, and an intense feeling of community and belonging. Highly recommend if you want to improve yourself while learning how to row row row your boat intensely down the stream. Intense amount of wildlife everywhere, especially the slough.

Really good for fishing and/or rowing (can head down to Sammamish Lake), but not so much for walking trails since it's a dead end. Bunch of friendly people there though, so pretty nice place. Also superb for some pictures, during the fall season there are Lily flowers in full bloom! I primarily went for the fishing. Definitely a nice quiet place, but if you want big fish you'll have to row down the river a bit.

First year rowing, I have made lots of friends and the coaches are perfect with their balance of pushing you to get better and being really friendly highly recommend at least trying the row for a day

My son has been in the rowing program at SRA for two years now and sometimes I can’t believe the changes I’ve seen in him since he started. The motivation, competitive drive, discipline and loyalty that this sport inspires is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Is it intense? Yes. Grueling, painful, time consuming, and expensive? All of the above. But it’s worth every penny and all the time in the world to see my son thrive in this environment with these amazing coaches. They’re not going to coddle your kid, that I can promise you. You may worry at times that he’s being pushed past his limits. And then you’ll watch his self esteem grow (along with the muscles), his posture straighten and his smile widen with each win. My son will be the first to tell you how brutal this sport is - but he’ll do it with a look of pride on his face.

Sammamish Rowing is the best!! Since my kid started rowing there, his life has been changed. Coaches are wonderful and every other staff member has been absolutely amazing. Great team spirit, super friendly parents. It is truly an all inclusive rowing family. Go Sammamish! !
