Southern Fried & Sweet Tea Puryear

The food is gas!!!! The service is great!!! The vibe is cool!! Alicia was our server and she made the experience great! She has good recommendations and they have a specials board too! We also ate the pecan cobbler but it didn’t last long enough for a picture😮‍💨

First time here. We got there at 4 PM and pretty much walked in and sat down. We had heard so many good things about this place. They did not disappoint. All the food was delicious. The servings are huge and I am a big eater. Everybody was taking boxes home. The cakes and pies were awesome. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and took the desserts home to eat with the family. The only negatives I have are I didn’t particularly care for the tartar sauce for my fish and they don’t give you a receipt. They email it to you which is OK but it slows down the pay line which was very busy at 6 PM when we left. I included the ticket here because some things didn’t have prices on the menu. Bathrooms are outside which is no big deal to me but could be to others. Get there early on Saturday as parking is a premium. We will go back. BTW, Alecia was an awesome server.

I came with a large party for lunch, and we all absolutely loved it. The food is fantastic, and the portions are more than large enough for two meals, which makes it a great value. The service was friendly and fast. My only "complaint" if you can even call it that, is that the food was so good I was too full for dessert. Which is a shame because it sure looked good! We will definitely be returning!

Southern Fried & Sweet tea is a must stop and fill up with food restaurant. The portions of food are massive and will fill up the hungriest of the hungry. The sweet tea and deserts are must eat as well.

I was traveling through for work and always look for new places to eat. Let me tell you that this place is amazing. Everyone was talking about this gator gumbo and how amazing it was. I had a taste test of some and let me tell you it’s the best I have ever had. I ordered the pork chop sandwich and it also was perfection. Top it all off, the staff was the most awesome people. Beautiful smiling faces with laughter in the air. It felt like home. When I am back anywhere close I will be back. Thank you for making me feel like home, and cooking the most amazing food.
