The Cattle Car

We had an amazing dinner here at this location, we sat at the bar and had Brittany as our bartender. She was extremely nice and gave us some bomb food recommendations such as their buffalo dip egg rolls and the cattle eye burger. I had the Philly queso-dilla and it was amazing. My husband and I had a few drinks and my favorite was the sand bar. We will definitely be back not only because of the amazing food but how well the customer service was.

We had an amazing experience at The Cattle Car in Clover, SC! This was our second visit, and every bite had us saying “Mmm…OMG this is SO good!” We ordered burgers the Southern Belle (with scratch pimento cheese and bacon onion jam) & the Steam Engine (pepperjack, banana peppers, and chipotle ranch)—both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The sweet potato fries w/cinnasugar puddin sauce were incredible, and the orzo Italian pasta salad was fresh and tasty. Dessert was a fun treat—the tableside tiramisu is a must-try! And the Clover Creamsicle drink was like sunshine in a glass. Everything was a 10/10. The owner and staff are super friendly, and the customer service is top-notch. We’re already planning our next trip and I’ve got my eye on what to try next!

I got the Smokestack on a potato bun with seasoned fries and cattle car sauce. The burger was delicious, better than beef patties served at fast food joints. I liked the incorporation of mixed greens in the burger as opposed to a regular old piece of lettuce. The cattle car sauce is very good as well, but the fries were a bit salty. HOWEVER, the star of the show that wasn't photographed is actually the sweet potato fries!! It comes with icing or some sort of sweet sauce which was also yummy. It wasn't mushy, but chunky and crispy, perfect texture and taste. I think this may be the best place that makes sweet potato fries. I'd come again just for those alone. Nice spot for some good burgers and awesome sweet potato fries.

We tried this place today after spotting it online, great atmosphere and service was phenomenal right off the bat.The sweet tea was so good that I knew the food would be good before it even got to the table. We all had various burgers and everyone enjoyed their meal. Would definitely come back!

Great food and service even in the middle of peak lunch time and they were swamped. Our waitress kept us full of refills and and every thing we needed for the Halloween Lunch Friday. It was a pleasant surprise for us being from out of town and coming to this nice little restaurant in downtown Clover. We will definitely be back.
