These guys are very competent engineers who work on all types of projects. It’s not unusual to see their plans on residential job sites all across the South Bay. Kent and Mario are a pleasure to work with and I enjoy the antetodes, insights and professionalism when we are on projects together.

I have completed a major renovation of a two-story home that included adding square footage on both floors and a complete re-floorplan of the interior. As I did a lot of the floorplan myself - just hand drawn, I began by trying to find a structural engineer to assess feasibility and went to Sezen & Moon (conveniently nearby). Joshua Carter was the engineer on my project. He was great! Always very responsive and explained to me in as much detail as I wanted to understand. He also made a few visits while we were in construction and pointed out some structural items that were missed by the contractor and inspector to have them fixed (e.g. strapping and anchors). Throughout the build, we also had a couple of design changes which Joshua assessed and gave the OK. I can highly recommend SMSE from my first-hand experience.
