Katak Thai Chicken Rice

I payed $20 for a cut up chicken tender over rice. Really confused because I’ve eaten here before and got a normal portion size. I ordered the mixed chicken, what I received was literally tiny scraps of hainanese chicken and the tiniest bit of crispy chicken. This photo is BEFORE I took any bites, I thought the chicken was under the rice or something so I was digging up the rice with my fork I was so confused. What the hell is this portion, I genuinely can’t believe they packed this up and allowed this to be sent to a customer. Never coming back. DO NOT COME HERE

The khao man gai here is very yummy. Less than $20 with big food portions. I feel like I'm in Thailand again when I have each bite. Very good

Near hotel we were staying at. I’ve eaten a lot of Hainan chicken growing up and I’ve missed it so much had to go in a get it. It did not disappoint! My daughter got the fried chicken and loved it. And the Hainan chicken was perfect! You have to understand Hainan chicken are serve room temp or slightly cold and bland you add the sauce to it. Took it to go because they were closing. The behind the counter workers were also super nice and helpful.

This restaurant was close to my hotel. I was so excited to try their Khao Man Gai ( Thai Chicken Rice). And it didn’t disappoint me. I got the mixed chicken one and order liver on the side. Their sauce is great. The taste is very authentic and reminds me of home. The real Thai chicken rice is served with soup and they do! Service part : they have a screen that you need to order yourself. Staff is nice.

I’ve ordered a couple of times from Uber and absolutely loved this place! The mix chicken rice would be your perfect go to for tender hainan chicken + crispy chicken all in one, but I especially love the crispy fried chicken Speaking from someone who isn’t a fan of fried stuff, they seem to marinate their chicken and the flavor really comes through, it’s not oily or greasy too I also love how they don’t skimp on the rice- it’s actually flavored! I always add a poached egg to moisten the rice and chicken, great way to elevate your meal!
