Socorro Tequila’s New 110-Proof Blanco Puts Transparency Front And Center

North Texas tequila drinkers will soon have a limited-edition bottle to look for. Dallas-based Socorro Tequila announced its new Blanco 110 Singular Edición, a 110-proof tequila that is as much about showing how it was made as it is about what’s inside the bottle. Only 1,002 bottles will be produced, with the release expected in October 2026. Pre-orders are already open, and the tequila will be available through Socorro’s website and select independent retailers in Texas and Colorado. The Jalisco-made tequila is bottled at 110 proof, or 55% ABV, the highest proof legally permitted for tequila. It is made with single-estate Blue Weber agaves grown in the highlands of Jalisco and follows Socorro’s simple production philosophy: “Agave. Water. Yeast. That's it.” The Label Tells You A Lot About The Tequila What makes this release particularly interesting is how much production information Socorro is putting directly into the hands of the person drinking it. Each bottle is hand-numbered to Production Batch 1001 and includes fully documented production details. F.W. Woolworth ran lunch counters inside its five-and-dime stores for decades, and by the mid-1950s those counters were a fixture of downtown shopping in cities and small towns across the country. You sat on a round spinning stool, ordered off a laminated card clipped above the counter, and got a full hot plate for right around fifty cents.
