North Texas Giving Day Events Kick Off Ahead Of Sept. 17

North Texas Giving Day isn't waiting until Sept. 17 to bring nonprofits and donors together. Ahead of the regionwide day of giving, Communities Foundation of Texas is hosting a series of in-person events across North Texas where residents can meet participating nonprofits, learn about their work and support local causes. The events begin Sept. 3 in Dallas before heading to The Colony and returning to Downtown Dallas. They lead up to North Texas Giving Day on Sept. 17 , when more than 3,000 participating nonprofits will seek support from donors across the region. Giving is already open online , meaning North Texans don't have to wait until Giving Day itself to participate. Giving Day Comes To The Colony The closest event for Collin County-area residents arrives Sept. 12 at The Lawn at Grandscape in The Colony. SCHEELS Celebrates North Texas Giving Day will run from 4 to 8 p.m. with local nonprofits hosting interactive booths, hands-on activities and live performances. Attendees can explore different organizations and complete a passport experience for prizes and SCHEELS swag. Donations made on-site will also be eligible for a special event match opportunity.
