Bettendorf High School plans donation drive, community resale event

1 days agoBettendorf High School Student Council is turning gently used clothing and household items into an opportunity to give back through Bulldogs Bins, a donation drive and community resale event benefiting the Student Hunger Drive, a news release says.
Community members are encouraged to clean out their closets, donate gently used items, and shop for great deals while supporting local families facing food insecurity.
Donations will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m Oct. 12-30 at the Bettendorf High School Main Office.Items needed include:
- Gently used, clean clothing of all sizes (no stains or holes)
- Small household and décor items
The community is then invited to shop the Bulldogs Bins Resale Event from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 31, in the Bettendorf High School Commons.
Shoppers can browse a variety of affordable items, including graphic T-shirts, sweatshirts, home décor, and more. Cash and card payments will be accepted.
All proceeds from the event will support the Student Hunger Drive, helping provide food assistance to individuals and families in need throughout the community. Any unsold items will be donated.
