East Moline

New ice cream store will open in East Moline

Downtown East Moline is getting a new destination for ice cream lovers as Just Us & Treats celebrates the opening of its new shop at 820 15th Ave., a news release says.

The community is invited to join Just Us & Treats and East Moline Main Street for an official ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, followed by a grand opening celebration at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26.

The ribbon cutting will officially welcome Just Us & Treats to downtown East Moline and give community members, friends, family, fellow business owners and local leaders an opportunity to celebrate this new addition to the downtown business community.

The celebration continues Saturday with an afternoon of family fun, including:

Dog Food Sold Nationwide Recalled Over Possible Metal Contamination, FDA Warns

Thousands of cases of canned dog food sold across the United States are being recalled because the products may contain metal. Wisconsin-based Fromm Family Foods is recalling 3,852 cases of Fromm Turkey Pate Wet Dog Food and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf Pate Wet Dog Food.
