Vintage race cars will turn back time at Davenport Speedway

6 hours agoSR Promotions will host the Mississippi Valley Vintage Race Car Association’s Hawkeye Futurity at Davenport Speedway, on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The Hawkeye Futurity will feature vintage race cars. All vintage racers are welcome. Generations of racing will be represented, including Caged Sprints, Non-Caged Sprints, Midgets, Super Modifieds, Jalopies, and Vintage Late Models.
An open test and tune practice session is scheduled for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The fee for the practice is $65 per car plus $35 for a pit pass that's good for the whole day.
The racing program is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. with hot laps. Vintage racing classes and Koehler Electric Street Stocks will race first. They will be followed by Powder Puff & Mechanic races in Davenport weekly stock car classes.
The grandstand will open at 5 p.m. General admission is $15. For more information, visit here.
