Adult, juvenile suspects arrested on QC firearm violations

1 days agoFive adults and two juveniles were arrested on firearm violations in Davenport.
According to a release from the Davenport Police Department, officers were dispatched Sunday, September 6 at 7:15 p.m. to the 3400 block of Pacific Ave. in reference to a large gathering of people using drugs and causing noise and traffic issues. Upon arrival, officers encountered over 50 people in the area. Several people attempted to leave the scene by foot and vehicle.
During the investigation, officers found five illegally-possessed firearms. Five adults and two juveniles were arrested. Officers confiscated a .45 caliber handgun and four 9mm handguns.
The investigation remains ongoing.
