Bettendorf High School recognized as FAFSA Focused School of Achievement

Bettendorf High School (BHS) has been recognized as a FAFSA Focused School of Achievement by the Iowa Department of Education Bureau of Iowa College Aid for its work to help students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

BHS’s goal was to have 55% of its seniors complete the FAFSA and as of August 1, they surpassed that goal, reaching an impressive 62% completion rate.

“This recognition reflects our commitment to ensuring students have the resources and support they need to pursue their goals after high school,” said Career Readiness Coordinator Haleigh Hoyt. “Completing the FAFSA can make a significant difference in making college and other postsecondary opportunities more accessible and affordable for our students and families.”

FAFSA is an important step for students seeking financial assistance for college and other postsecondary education opportunities. By guiding students and families through the financial aid process, Bettendorf High School is helping open doors to higher education and reducing financial barriers.
