Sink holes appear in Village of East Davenport after water-main break

8 hours agoA large water-main break early Tuesday on 12th Street in the Village of East Davenport has closed the road between Spring and Heldreth.
At one point, one of two large sinkholes swallowed up a car, according to a Facebook post from a Davenport alderman.
A neighbor who lives nearby told Our Quad Cities News crew that his basement was filled with mud.
Crews from Iowa American Water were on the scene.
