Chance for some severe storms tonight

With temperatures hot in the 90s and a very high dew point in the Quad Cities, we are watching for the chance of storms that could rapidly develop from these conditions.

A slight risk of severe weather has been issued for most of the area as the timing of these storms will mainly be toward the evening and overnight hours that will linger into Monday morning.

The threats to watch out for with these storms are strong winds that can produce 60+ mph winds and heavy rainfall.
