QCA Dave & Buster’s opens January 19

After the weekend, Davenport will have its newest restaurant/bar/arcade. Dave & Buster’s is set to host its grand opening on Monday, January 19.

Their arrival was first talked about in September 2024, when Dave & Buster’s applied for a liquor license in Davenport. Now the opening is just days away at their location on Elmore Ave.

“It’s great for the family, it’s great for young adults, it’s great for people just on a social outing,” said Dave & Buster’s spokesperson Adam Begue. “We have a bunch of fun here, and that’s what we’re really all about.”

Dave & Buster’s will bring their game room filled with tons of games – new and retro – a bar, full restaurant, and their 40-foot “WOW Wall” – a massive TV – to the Quad Cities. Our Quad Cities News took a trip to the Dave & Buster’s in Rosemont, Illinois for a tour of what the Quad Cities should expect from the franchise, all highlighted by a massive human claw machine.

“Opening in new markets like the vibrant Quad Cities area, we’re really excited about that,” said Begue. “Looking forward to getting our foot in there and offering something that’s not really available in that area.”

Dave & Buster’s has already joined the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce. They will have about 150 employees, mixed between part-time and full-time.

They will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Jan. 19, at 10 a.m. They will open at 11 a.m. The first 100 people in line will get a free play card.

Dave & Buster’s is located at 5248 Elmore Ave., Davenport.

A Salmonella Recall Now Reaches Walmart, Target, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods

A widening food recall connected to a multistate Salmonella outbreak now covers dips, salsas, guacamole and prepared meals sold by some of America's largest grocery chains. Taylor Fresh Foods announced the voluntary recall on Aug. 9 after learning that jalapeno supplier Coast Citrus Distributors was recalling peppers because of possible Salmonella contamination. The affected jalapenos came from a grower in Sinaloa, Mexico, identified as the likely source of an ongoing outbreak.
