Davenport man convicted on child pornography charges in 2024 arrested on charges of sexually abusing child for years

2025-01-30A Davenport man who was sentenced in November 2023 on multiple child pornography charges faces new charges of sexually abusing a child for several years.
According to jail records, Damon Fetes, 29, was arrested on January 29 on two counts of felony indecent contact with a child, two counts of felony lascivious acts with a child, two counts of felony sexual abuse – continuous abuse of a child and one count of felony sexual exploitation of a minor – promotes materials.
The criminal complaint says that between July 2020 and June 2023, Fetes sexually abused the same child on a continuous basis on a near-daily basis for multiple years. These acts took place from the time the victim was seven years old until the victim was 10, when Fetes was held on a child pornography conviction. The abuse happened at both the child’s home and Fetes’ residences, all of which are within Scott County. The abuse was disclosed during multiple interviews at the Child Protection Response Center with a forensic interviewer.
Fetes is being held in the Scott County Jail on no bond. He was arraigned on January 30 and entered a plea of not guilty.
