LIVONIA (WWJ) – Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri has been traveling across America searching for the country’s best “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” since 2007.
While his show has highlighted restaurants all across the country, including right here in Michigan, now Fieri is bringing his own food to Metro Detroit.
His Chicken Guy! restaurant is set to open its first of 20 Michigan locations in Livonia on April 1. The new restaurant at 30130 Plymouth Road will be the chain’s 8th location, with plans to open an additional 19 in Southeast Michigan within the next couple years, according to a press release.
“Hatched from the minds of chef Guy Fieri and renowned restaurateur, Robert Earl,” the fast-casual and quick-service chain offers signature sandwiches, chicken tender combos, salad bowls, and special sauces.
"The people of The Motor City have spoken…I’m bringin’ my real deal chicken tenders, sandwiches, and shakes to Livonia. From shooting DDD to taking part in the Woodward Dream Cruise, the Detroit area has always been a go-to for me, so I’m stoked for everyone to give us a try. See ya there!" Fieri said, per a press release.
The menu at Chicken Guy! will feature “one-of-a-kind all-natural fresh chicken tenders, hand-pounded to maximize crunch and paired with a wide selection of delicious sauces.”
Other mouth-watering creations include seasoned fries, Mac Daddy Mac ‘n Cheese, fried pickles, and of course desserts like the Triple Double Ice Cream Treat.
