FOX 2 (WJBK) - Two crashes involving road crews shut down I-75 near Schaefer - the workers are going to be okay but one of the drivers was critically injured. The Jeep Compass overturned and mangled - missing wheels and even the engine. The driver was 48-year-old Greg Hartunian - a retired Madison Heights police officer for years before retiring.

DETROIT – The Detroit Police Department is seeking information regarding a person of interest linked to the critical hit-and-run of a 46-year-old man. The incident occurred on Sunday (March 24) at 12:33 a.m. in the area of Grand River Avenue and Plymouth Road when the unknown person driving a blue 2004-2006 Chrysler Pacifica turned in front of the 46-year-old who was riding a motorcycle and hit him.
Clinton Township man charged in state’s largest fentanyl bust
CLINTON TOWNSHIP — A Clinton Township resident who owns a gas station in Detroit has been charged with possessing over 40 kilograms of fentanyl. Barry Willis, 55, was indicted in U.S. District Court for possession of over 400 grams of fentanyl with the intent to distribute it, possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years imprisonment if convicted in federal court.
Detroit man convicted of first-degree murder for 2022 Charleston shooting
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A 12-member Kanawha County jury has found a man guilty of first-degree murder in a Charleston murder case. The jury got the Tyran Gray case Monday afternoon after the defense rested its case. The jury, which convicted Gray on 4 total charges, recommended mercy on the murder conviction.
Adrian murder case to stay in Lenawee County Circuit Court
ADRIAN — A murder case against a man accused of taking part in a shooting that killed another man in February 2023 in Adrian will proceed in Lenawee County Circuit Court. Circuit Judge Michael R. Olsaver on Wednesday denied a motion to quash the bindover from Lenawee County District Court of open murder and firearms charges against Kenyatto Tiwaine Sylvertooth, 48, of Detroit. Sylvertooth and Gage Michael Winsett, 18, of Adrian are each charged in the death of 27-year-old Jonathan Marquise Simmons of Detroit. Simmons was shot in an exchange of gunfire between two vehicles on the afternoon of Feb. 13, 2023, near the intersection of South Tecumseh and Frank streets.
