Softball: Livingston Defeats West Essex, 9-2; Junior Allie Nankivell Surpasses 100 Career Hits

LIVINGSTON, NJ — After recently getting the 100th hit of her softball career at Livingston High School, junior Allie Nankivell collected two hits in three official at-bats and scored four runs in Wednesday's win over West Essex.

Sophia Mount pitched a three-hitter to lift Livingston (6-3) to a 9-2 victory. Mount, a senior right-hander headed for Villanova University in the fall, struck out four batters, walked four and allowed one earned run.

Sophie Rothfeld was 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI; Maddie Rothfeld had two hits and two runs batted in; and Lilah Goldstein had two hits to contribute to the Lancers' 12-hit attack.

Nankivell now has a total of 102 career hits heading into the Girls Varsity Panther Invitational against Red Bank Catholic High School in Cedar Grove on Saturday.
