A man is believed to have killed his brother in a shootout in the northwest corner of Arizona last week, according to authorities.
A person called dispatch on Thursday, June 1, to report that her neighbor came to her property in Littlefield saying he was shot, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said in a statement released Wednesday.
Littlefield is located in the Arizona Strip along the Virgin River and Interstate 15, about 85 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
The man alleged that he was shot by his brother after an argument and he returned fire, hitting the brother.
Detectives are investigating. The man who was killed was turned over to the Mohave County Medical Examiner's office for an official autopsy and his name is being withheld.
The other man was taken to an area hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, the sheriff's office said.
The investigation is ongoing and no other details have been released.
