The Little Rock Police are investigating an overnight Memorial Day shooting that has left one person dead and another injured.

According to a social media post officers arrived at 9600 W. 36 Street discovering a black male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where police said he later died.

While detectives secured the scene, they were informed of another person that had arrived at an area hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

Detectives began an investigation and ask anyone with information to contact homicide detectives at (501) 371-4660.

This investigation is ongoing.
