Lockdown on Mills High lifted, middle school dismissing early

Mills Middle School and Mills High School were both placed on lockdown due to a "threat" that the front office received through the phone.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The lockdown at Mills High School has been lifted, while the middle school will be dismissed early, school leaders have said. 

Earlier today, Pulaski County Special School District announced that Mills Middle School and Mills High School were both placed on lockdown due to a "threat." 

According to the district, the threat was received by phone as the front office reported it.

School officials said that police arrived at the schools and that people should avoid heading to either of the schools for the moment. 

Authorities have said that students are safe at the moment. 

There's currently no information at this time on the origin of the threat, but PCSSD said that they'll provide more information as it becomes available.
