US 22 Veterans Memorial Bridge Closure 10/10/26 12am-1am
Brooke County, WV – A portion of US 22, eastbound and westbound, on the Veterans Memorial Bridge, from milepost 0.00 to milepost 0.38, will have both the eastbound and westbound lanes closed, from midnight to 1:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 10, 2026, for a bridge inspection. The closures will be at night to minimize the impact on the traveling public. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated.

There will also be a rolling roadblock on I-79, southbound, from mile marker 115, Stonewood, extending south of the bridge at mile marker 106, both lasting from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., nightly, starting on Monday, October 5, 2026, and going to Friday, October 9, 2026.

FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — Traffic may move more slowly than usual Friday morning in the Interstate 79 northbound and southbound lanes due to a rolling roadblock. A roadblock will be in place at mile marker 140 from 10 a.m. to noon to slow traffic for a bridge deck inspection, according to a West Virginia Division of Highways release.
