NOW THEY JUST WANT ANSWERS AND JUSTICE AS POLICE TRY TO FIND A MOTIVE. FLOWERS ON A PICNIC TABLE OUTSIDE THE LODGE APARTMENTS IN LINCOLN IN MEMORY OF THE TWO MEN KILLED HERE ON MONDAY. ONE OF THEM IS CHRIS KARMAZIN. HIS BROTHER GARRETT, SAYS HE LEAVES BEHIND THREE CHILDREN AND A WIFE. HE WAS THEIR WORLD. AND THEIR WORLD DIDN’T EXIST WITHOUT HIM AROUND. NOW THEY’RE STILL TRYING TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT HE’S GONE. KARMAZIN SAYS WHEN POLICE ENTERED, HE AND HIS FATHER’S BUSINESS ON MONDAY, HE THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO WARN THEM ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE, LIKE A ROBBERY. HE SAID THERE’S BEEN AN ACCIDENT. AND THEY WERE TALKING TO MY FATHER. I WAS STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO HIM. YOUR SON, CHRIS, HAS BEEN KILLED. TENANTS LIKE ANDREA STEWARD CAN’T BELIEVE IT EITHER. SHE BROUGHT FLOWERS TO REMEMBER CHRIS AND RONALD GONZALEZ. BOTH MAINTENANCE WORKERS. THEY WERE GREAT GUYS. IT’S A SENSELESS THING THAT HAPPENED. IT’S SO SAD. AND YOU CAN SEE THE SADNESS HERE. 27 YEAR OLD TAYLOR BRADLEY ALSO LIVES AT THE APARTMENTS. SHE FACED A JUDGE WEDNESDAY AS PROSECUTORS CHARGED HER WITH TWO COUNTS OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER. SO ALLEGES ON MARCH 27, 2023, YOU DID USE A MOTOR HOME AS A DEADLY WEAPON. AND PROSECUTORS SAY BRADLEY TRIED TO RUN OVER A THIRD MAN TO WIN THE RACE. BRADLEY IS BEING HELD ON A $2 MILLION BOND. YOUR THREE. MS. MR. BRADLEY, DO YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO HIRE AN ATTORNEY? OKAY. I’M GOING TO GO OUT AND BRAD BRADLEY COULD FACE LIFE IN PRISON IF CONVICTED. We're learning more about those two victims who lost their lives Monday.Family members of Chris Karmazin say they can't believe he's gone.Residents of the apartment complex he and Ronald Gonzalez worked at say they're shocked at the violence that took place, so close to home. Chris Karmazin's brother is speaking for the family. He says Chris had a heart of gold and his life revolved around family.Now they just want answers and justice as police try to find a motive.Flowers on a picnic table outside the Lodge Apartments in Lincoln in memory of the two men killed there Monday. One of them is Chris Karmazin. His brother Garrett says he leaves behind three children and a wife. "He was their world. And their world didn't exist without him around," said Karmazin. Now they're still trying to accept the fact he is gone.Karmazin says when police entered his and his father's business on Monday, he thought they were going to warn them about something else, like a robbery. "He said there has been an accident. And they were talking to my father. I was standing right next to him. Your son, Chris has been killed," said Karmazin. Tenants like Andrea Steward can't believe it either.She brought flowers to remember Chris and Ronald Gonzalez, both maintenance workers. "They were great guys. It's a senseless thing that happened. It's so sad. And you can see the sadness here," said Steward. Twenty-seven-year-old Taylor Bradley also lives at the apartments. She faced a judge Wednesday, as prosecutors charged her with two counts of first-degree murder. And prosecutors say Bradley tried to run over a third man. Bradley is being held on a $2 million bond. She could face life in prison if convicted.Karmazin's brother says that's what she deserves. "I just want justice. And I want the maximum. I can't have much sympathy for her in that sense," said Karmazin.
